The Background

 

The Great Himalayas is a high-quality restaurant & bar in Southport. It prides itself on serving guests authentic Nepalese cuisine that’s full of flavour and colour with special ingredients, spices and herbs sourced from the South Asian region. As a busy seaside eatery, the venues furniture is in regular use, and in late 2022 the red faux leather high back side chairs with light wood legs had clearly seen better days.

 

Once the owners had decided it was time to refresh the décor to ensure it was as vibrant as their food’s flavour, they contacted us to see which models we could offer to match their existing interior design theme with a short lead time.

 

The Brief

 

The brief from the management team was simple. Find cost-effective seating solutions that would fit in with the existing décor, while at the same time refreshing and modernising the venue, bringing it up to date as a treat to themselves and their customers. The fifty-five models also had to be delivered within two weeks directly to the venue.

 

The Work

 

Our sales executive Kyle was soon back to the customer with ideas on how to meet all the requirements, as he explains: “Having spoken to the owners and seen the existing interior, I suggested our classic Memphis side chairs, upholstered in the stock Wine colour option would be a perfect fit. The timeless design of these chairs means they are as comfortable as they are stylish, and the good quality house faux leather is hard wearing and low maintenance.

 

“These are potentially our most popular dining chair, so we keep plenty in stock in a wide range of colour choices. That meant we were able to deliver the order in only a few days – so they really did tick all the boxes.”

 

The Results 

 

From start to finish this project took less than two weeks. The owners were able to rejuvenate their restaurant within the existing interior design theme with minimal disruption and were clearly happy with the results: “Such incredible quality, comfortable & easy to clean!”
