Skilled Carpenter / Joiner
Location: Colwick Nottingham Company: Contract Furniture Group Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter / Joiner to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry and joinery tasks, including 1st Fix, 2nd and 3rd Fix joinery. You will be the lead employee onsite and capable of running a site, experience doing on running a site will be a distinct advantage. This is a PAYE position (No subcontractors). Although based in our workshop in Nottingham, this position will be based onsite installing turnkey projects for our customers and will involve travel and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry and joinery tasks. • Manage / Run a site – this could be working / installing alone to managing a phased install with multiple subcontractors across multiple trades. To also include H&S, RAMS, Toolbox talks where applicable • Ensuring installations are finished within the set time frame and delivered to budget • Ensuring the install is finished to the highest standards
Required Skills & Responsibilities: • Minimum 10 years’ experience in carpentry / joinery • CSCS Card • Proficient in installing MFC furniture, bars & second fix joinery • City in Guilds and/or NVQ qualifications • Provide own tools
Desirable Skills & Experience: • SMSTS • Comfortable working away on-site as well as in joinery workshop
